How to Measure Your Ring Size at Home

We know how exciting it is to find the perfect ring and we want to make sure it fits beautifully. Here’s a simple way to measure your ring size from home with no special tools needed.
  • A piece of string or a strip of paper (about 1.4 cm / ½ inch wide)
  • A ruler (ideally with millimeter markings)
  • A pen or marker

Step-by-Step Guide

Wrap Around Your Finger

Gently wrap the string or paper around the base of the finger you’ll wear the ring on. It should feel snug but comfortable and not too tight.

Mark the Overlap

Use your pen to mark the spot where the ends meet and form a complete circle.

Measure the Length

Lay the string or paper flat and measure the distance from the starting point to the mark using your ruler. Now, you’ve got your finger circumference in millimeters (mm). If your measurement doesn’t match a size exactly on our chart, we recommend rounding up to the next closest ring size for a comfortable fit.

Find Your Ring Size

Match your measurement to our Sovarna Ring Size Chart to find your perfect fit.
For example:
54.7 mm = US Size 7
57.2 mm = US Size 8
60.3 mm = US Size 9.5

📐 Already Have a Ring That Fits?

You can also measure the inside diameter of a ring you already own:
  • Place it flat on a ruler.
  • Measure straight across the inside (in mm).
  • Use our chart to find the matching size.

Please Note:

Measure your finger at the end of the day, it’s usually a bit larger. Avoid measuring when your hands are cold, as fingers shrink.

If your knuckle is larger than the base of your finger, measure both and choose a size in between. Repeat the process a couple of times to be sure.
